Combining knowledge and resources to create a high-quality event stream.
Breukelen, October 2015 – Company Webcast, a specialist in professional webinars and AVEX, a company that provides audiovisual equipment, will expand their assortment by adding a new streaming service. Both companies have been collaborating in multiple industries, such as the governmental sector. With this development, both companies respond to a call for affordable streaming services from the event industry.
Live events seem to be taking a more hybrid approach – in addition to a physical audience a new audience appears; a digital audience. By using streaming it is possible to watch a stream live and more importantly, you can watch the stream after the live stream is over, if you haven’t seen it or want to see it again. Another big advantage of these streams are that it is easy to share them. Thanks to social media, a stream has much more reach and the shared information is preserved better. Willem Wijnlands, manager of events and lease at AVEX notes: “The conventional webcast is too expensive for a lot of events. With a service that is customised for events, it is possible to deliver an easy, accessible stream for a bigger audience with lower costs. Another advantage of these streams is that it gives essential information of the viewership, ratings and the audience numbers. A post-presentation report will make it possible to get essential information about the viewer ratings and viewer profiles.
The possibilities of streaming within the event world aren’t yet being used widely, but both companies say that it seems to be changing. Iwan Lawerman, the director of Company Webcast says: “Hybrid events fit in perfectly in the new way of working where not everyone has to be present physically. It is a very effective way to share knowledge and information to specified target audiences. Although streaming isn’t new, we notice that a momentum is being created in which a hybrid event will be a inseparable part of a physical event. It’s just a part of it.”
The event streaming services are being performed by the experienced team at AVEX, who are making use of the professional RoyalCast software platform delivered by Company Webcast. In addition to event streaming, both collaboration partners offer an expanded portfolio of webinar and webcast services that are offered at the clients’ location or from the professional RoyalCast webinar studios.
Company Webcast and AVEX aren’t just focusing on the Dutch market – international services are also a part of their strategy. Both of the collaboration partners have developed a great base of clients abroad.
