Webcast and webinar vendor selection process
After a careful thorough selection process in which Deutsche Telekom started with 18 different webcast and webinar service providers, they made a short list of webcast vendors based on their technical and commercial skills and proposition. Finally Deutsche Telekom selected Company Webcast as their preferred webcast supplier. “Company Webcast was able to outrun all competitors on both technical- and commercial scope”, comments Alexander Olschok. Company Webcast will provide livestreaming and webcast technology with an integrated peer-to-peer distribution facility to Deutsche Telekom for the next three years (2019, 2020 and 2021). Deutsche Telekom will be able to produce webcasts, interactive webinars and livestreams all by themselves. Deutsche Telekom estimates to produce 60 to 100 live events each year.

As Deutsche Telekom wants to reach more and more employees with livestreaming in the coming years, they were looking for a new corporate webcast platform that was highly scalable and had peer-to-peer technology integrated in the webcast platform. Although Deutsche Telekom already had a webcast platform in place, they were looking for a new webcast supplier due to high operational effort when producing a webcast and to security limitations.
