With Company Webcast’s Next Generation webinar platform you can increase the number of participants, the engagement, and the user experience. This Next Generation webinar platform sets the new standard for professional webinars. Below is an overview of the latest features.
Everything is in the video
One of the biggest innovations is that everything has been moved to the webinar player. What do we mean by this? Previously, we had a separate video for the presenters and the slides were shown next to the video. If the video or slides were displayed full screen you automatically missed the other part. The new version includes both the video and the slides in the video itself. When viewing the webinar full screen you won’t miss any slides, because they are now a part of the video.
See the explanation of webinar expert Olaf Lawerman below:
The following elements are also integrated into the webinar player:
- Login options
- Social Media share options
- Additional information up to live broadcast such as:
- Date, Time and duration of the webinar
- Countdown to the start of the webinar
- A logo can also be included in the player
- And finally the background of the webinar is also customisable
See an example of the above mentioned elements below:
Viewable on any device
Webinars on the Next Generation webinar platform are viewable on any device (PC, Mac, Smartphone, tablet, console) without downloads, apps or plugins. The result: maximising the number of views.
Compare this to webinar tools where viewers must first download an app or plugin before they can see the webinar or, even worse, that are still based on Flash. What does it mean for your webinar? Plugins, downloads and Flash are an obstacle for potential viewers and thus lead to a loss of viewers.
With the Next Generation webinar platform you get more viewers.
Reach more people and large groups
Next Generation Webinars are based on HLS technology, which allows traffic from our webinars to be treated as ‘regular internal traffic’ by browsers. This has several advantages that, above all, increase the number of viewers.
- Works flawlessly for large numbers of viewers without malfunction
- Comes through every company firewall without any additional actions from the IT department – the same goes for the company virus scanner
- Compatible with existing company catching infrastructure and therefore better reach for corporate desktops
- The webinars are safe because there’s encryption on each stream
Webinars on the Next Generation webinar platform are therefore highly suited for the corporate environment.
HD image quality
The Company Webcast studios feature the latest professional HD cameras. The extremely sharp pictures provide a better viewing experience and increase the involvement of participants. Webinars have never looked so sharp.
We broadcast in HD quality and the stream is adjusted to the bandwidth available to a viewer. In this way the viewer always gets the best image without the additional bandwidth.
Interaction increases engagement and viewing time
Interaction ensures that participants stay focused on the webinar and actually participate which increases engagement. Interaction can be included in a webinar in several ways. The following are the most common:
- Ask a question
In the following clip, see how interaction works on the Next Generation webinar platform:
Rich Media for engagement
Everything you see on your laptop can also be shown to viewers. Screen sharing gets a very different meaning when you record a webinar in our studio. Besides sharing the screen on your laptop you can also choose to be a part of the image. Screen sharing is ideal if you want to give a software demo or show a website or another application. You do not have slides, you can let viewers watch it live while going through the software or website.
Slides are also a possibility and we really mean all the slides that you can imagine. Whether you are recording animations or showing videos, it is all possible. Below is a selection of possibilities:
- Software Demo
- Skype Call
Check out the clip below in which Olaf shows the updated home pages on our websites through screen sharing.
Keep viewers on your own website
In the past webinars were hosted on a special landing page. Often this was the website of the webinar platform provider. The biggest disadvantage of this is that viewers always go to the webinar provider’s website forcing them to leave your website.
With Next Generation webinars you can embed a webinar on a website similar to embedding a Youtube video. The biggest advantage of this is that you can keep webinar viewers on your own website.
Embedding also offers the advantage that the webinar can be shared through, for example, partners or media relations. If they include the webinar on their website, it can create extra exposure and can provide additional viewers. Registration is still via the player, so all registrations are added in your database and not that of the partner. More people can sign up, which increases the number of viewers. An example of an entire webinar on the Next Generation Webinar Platform is included below:
Another unique feature of the Next Generation webinar platform is that you can share a fragment from a webinar. Do you, for example, just want to share a specific clip from a webinar? That is also possible. Select the fragment you want and embed it on a website. Olaf shows in the clip below how you can do that. The clip is a fragment of the Next Generation webinar that is included in its entirety above:
DVR: Pause and Rewind
The Next Generation platform is one of the few webinar platforms where you can just pause and rewind a live webinar. If your viewers are a little late to the start of a live webinar, for example, then they can just rewind the clip during the live broadcast and view the webinar right from the start. If they want a to grab a cup of coffee, they can just pause the webinar, and continue watching when they are back!
