At the end of December, KPN and Company Webcast signed a contract under which Company Webcast will deliver its webcast and peer-to-peer streaming technology to KPN in the coming years.
As a result, many internal employees can watch a HD quality broadcast (live) at the same time, without the internal network being overloaded.
Within KPN, webcasts are a well-known phenomenon for employees. Various departments are informed by a manager by a webcast or are informed of new developments. Every week there is one or more webcasts to be monitored via TEAMKPN and KPN expects further growth in the coming years.
With more webcasts, traffic on the internal network is also increasing. Especially if several people in the same location all watch a webcast at the same time, the network is pretty taxed. The peer-to-peer streaming solution from Company Webcast prevents the network from being overloaded and ensures that everyone can watch a high-quality video webcast simultaneously, without any problems.
