Monuta was able to help Dutch young people during the difficult grieving process thanks to a full-service webinar by Company Webcast.
The sudden death of a loved one is never easy, but it can be particularly hard to cope with for young people who are also going through puberty. Unfortunately, this is the harsh reality for countless teenagers across the world. However, many parents are unsure of the best way to offer support to their children at this difficult time. How should they broach the subject? And if their child refuses to talk about it, how can parents know if anything is wrong?
To support parents and guardians, Monuta launched a project related to young people and grief, and a Company Webcast webinar formed part of that project.
For Monuta, this was the first time that the company would be using a webinar as a communication tool. It was very important for the quality of the webinar to be high. In addition to reinforcing Monuta’s image, the content of the webinar also had to offer real support to the viewers. Therefore, one of Monuta’s main objectives was to be perceived as a thought leader. Furthermore, because many parents and guardians were expected to have questions, the broadcast had to be very interactive.
The solution in this case was a full-service webinar based on the Company Webcast Marketing & External Communication format. Monuta secured Dutch TV personality Anita Witzier as the face of the overall campaign. She could also be heard in a radio commercial associated with the project, in what turned out to be a successful multimedia campaign.
The campaign resulted in an extremely successful webinar, with an exceptionally high percentage (86%) of the people who had registered actually participating in the webinar. In terms of interactivity: 1 in 3 viewers asked a question. The fact that questions were answered directly – which is an important functionality of webinars – was regarded as very positive.
“I was very impressed by the fact that the questions were answered directly. This gave an immediate and clear picture of people’s problems,” was the feedback from one of the viewers. “The questions were answered effectively,” said another viewer. “And everything was explained calmly and clearly. It was just great!”
